I long for what you possess Tell me what to do I shall take the first step Tell me what you reveal I shall verbalize Your Word with authority? What I have to gain from such speech If I love everyone I encounter But they discourage me? No one should ever claim To be righteous When not one is righteous Except You O God For you are the reason we are declared that way When Jesus died on the cross Our sins died along with Him That is why I’m experiencing this anger Yet I cannot say anything For what I say is wrong I’m continuously reminded of my iniquitous behavior Remove the boulders From our eyes Father God So we can see the pebbles From others that judge without a cause Then we shall not become guilty Of judgment from you That you may not be angry with us Those that bother me You deal with them Those that seek to figure Me out instead of you You examine their hearts Those that have a word of evil Let those words come Back to them the same Way it was addressed to be Those that do evil to me Forgive them Lord Help me to forgive myself Allow others to accept me That I might hide in you When the city casts me down Where there is no aid to fill up the void When a church have a desire to use me When I’m idling in inactivity When evil is happening to me like a whirlwind I look to you for proper living I look to you for mercy I look to you for love and peace There is no one like you And I seek only you dear God Yea all praises and glory to you |
