To Be Bound is To Be Free

One may ask
Do have to be bound in order to be free?
Yes in this case
If I have not been bound
God would have never allowed
Me to escape
The church I was enslaved to
That He sent me to another place
That I shall be free
Where I once was
Anymore, I’m not there
I sat there for days
Production have I not done
For I was bound by tradition
With no hope of my gifts
Being used
But not I’m not in bondage
A place where my gifts are meaning all
A place where I can learn and grow
A place to love and be loved
I once was lost, but I’m found
I once was bound, not bow I’m free
2003

Behold a new day is near
A new year to come
That which is old and shall be no more
All that is new shall come to be
Though I shall not think of the past
I strive for new wine
That I may spring forth
A new commitment to God
A spirit of rededication to Christ
A new thing in the earth
The things of last year
Don’t mention it
The things of this year
Do petition it
More of you and less of me
I’m a new creature in two
Thousand and three
