Using the Voice of Command,
Chapter II: Going to Alabama

I learned about my high school class reunion coming in June
But I had been in Richmond for two months
And didn’t have to money to attend
So I prayed and ask God
And He told me to continue to work for Him
And He will pay me

If anything, doubt and unbelief showed up at my house
And I directed them to leave and ask their enemies faith and hope to come
Faith and hope came to the door and said
We need a place to say
Can you help us?
You can stay forever, I said
You are always welcome
So faith and hope came to live with me
But doubt and unbelief still trying to come into the house
Faith said oh no doubt you cannot stay here
Keith and Sheona are going to Alabama and there is nothing you can do about
Hope said unbelief I agree
They are going to Alabama and God will make a way for them to go

When it was time for us to go
All we have was enough money for lodging and food
We took the bus, but that was okay
As long as I had the opportunity to see my family, I’m grateful
I didn’t get a chance to attend the get-together
But when I went to pick up my brother
I saw all my friends one by one
One friend said to me you can come to the picnic if you help out
Yes I can do that. I said
I ended up going to the picnic with my classmates for free
What I’m trying to say?
If you pray and ask God for what you want
He will give you what you ask for
I wanted to go to Alabama to see my family and friends
He got me there without paying a dime

Blessed is the Lord who gives us love and everything we need
The One we should praise is the One who cannot fail us
How great is He who allowed me to visit my family without money?
There is no one within the furthest corner of the universe like Him
No, not one
