I give honor to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for allowing me to insight and the inspiration to write this book. Without Him, none of my gifts will be worth pursuing. I dedicate this book to my lovely wife, Sheona B. Williams, a magnificent supporter of my twelve-year passion for writing poetry and her love that burns deeply for me even though sometimes I don’t notice it. I also would like to acknowledge my spiritual parents for their years of wisdom and guidance I cannot find anywhere else but in Waverly, Pastor Darren Gay and Minister Cheryl Gay. Special thanks goes out to all the people mentioned in my poetry over the past twelve years that influenced me to keep on writing despite my experiences—both good and bad. Thanks for making me apart of your lives.
In words of special thanks to:
Sheona: I want you to know that without your experiences and problems, I would not have any problems to talk about. There may be times in which you don’t believe I love you, but it’s when I don’t say a word when my heart whispers sweet ballads of romance and blossom it with love. To say I love you goes no further than what can be done. Only if you give me a chance to express my love in my own way, I know I can love you. After all, that’s just the way I love you in all I say and do, yes I DO LOVE YOU!
Pastor Darren Gay and Minister Cheryl Gay: I know I haven’t known you for only a few weeks, but I have grown so close to you. Pastor Gay: I think of you as a friend, a buddy, a pastor, my big brother in the ministry. Thanks for taking me and adopting me into your church family. Minister Gay: you are a mother above all mothers whose nurturing love extends all who encounters you. God’s woman indeed, you are there in need. Both of you are truly bless that made me to become bless. From the bottom of my heart I THANK YOU.
The Higher Way Ministries Family: Without your friendship, love, and support I couldn’t have made it this far. You have affected me in some form or fashion to write my innermost thoughts I couldn’t express from my lips. Thanks for being apart of my work. The grace of God shall be upon you from this day forward.
Prophetess G. A. Earlycutt: You have taught me about the voice of command and to use its power to obtain what God has to offer me. Since I have applied that principle in my life, I have been tremendously bless. I cannot thank you enough for your encouraging words and spiritual anointing. I will never forget you.
Evangelist Aretha Douglas: Over the years, you have been a friend, advisor, and spiritual mother. Thank you for tolerating me. I could not have made it at Community Church without you. When we had to move on, God made us stronger. You have truly been a blessing to me. Keep reaching for the higher calling and preach the Word.
Pastor Mariah E. Mason: I want to thank you for inviting me into your home and caring for me. I’m sorry I had to leave Prince of Peace on a very alarming note, but I will never forget you. I know God have a special anointing in your life to minister to the masses the Word of the Lord. Only you have the power to rule your own destiny. It’s my prayer that you fulfill your calling in Christ Jesus. Be strong in the Lord and you will obtain all that God wants you to have. I’ll be praying for you in love. Thanks Mom for everything!
Pastor and First Lady Perry Goins: What can I say about two people who watched me grow up over the years? My parents away from my own who cared for me like my very own mother and father. Even when I was away in college, I could come to you in need when I was down and hurting. My mentor, who shaped me to become a student of the Lord, I’m on the road to becoming a powerful minister. God has not forgotten your labor of love towards me. In due time, He shall reward you greatly. Continue to grow stronger and climb higher in the Lord. Forever and ever, I love you with all that is inside me.
The Parker High School Class of 1992: For four years, I was apart of a group of people who was always there to lift me and to be my friends. Despite my adversities, you guys still were my friends. The good and the bad, you were there for me. Even today, you speak very highly of me. Thank you for making me apart of this wonderful and (not to mention) intelligent class. Let us continue to hold each other up and keeping in contact with each other. A friend yesterday is a friend forever.
