A FEW NOTES ON SHAVING



he average adult male has about 30,000 hairs on his face and it has been estimated that he will shave away about 30 feet of beard during a lifetime of shaving.

The growth of the beard varies with the time of day: more growth during the day than at night with the most rapid growth occurring around the age of 30.

The rate of beard growth – like other hairy areas – is not affected by shaving or by any other method of removal.

Most men with dark beards believe that theirs are heavier than those of men who have light hair. This is erroneous. While the dark color is more readily noticed, the color of hair is not related to the density.
