THE DERMATOLOGIC DOZEN

here are some skin disorders that are much more common than others. Acne, for example, will occur in nine out of ten teenagers, making it the most common skin ailment seen by the dermatologist – the specialist in medicine who is trained in diseases of the skin.

This section deals with the twelve most common dermatologic complaints – what I refer to as The Dermatologic Dozen. These occur with sufficient frequency to comprise at least 90 percent of a dermatologist’s office practice.

  Acne
  Warts
  Eczema
  Psoriasis
  Dry Skin
  Herpes Infections
  Shingles
  Insect Bites & Stings
  Hives
  Pityriasis Rosea
  Fungous-Infections
  Allergy Rashes
