Children should be seen, not heard, Goes the Victorian credo. And how many times Have we all wished for that. Teenagers are an alien race, Goes the anguished cry. And a million mums Would agree with that. The idea that a child Is a perfect being A happy smile, And a rosy glow Then the child is born And the dream is shattered By the broken nights And the sleep-starved days. This is not a doll Or a fashion accessory. Its a human being In an unfinished state. Being a Mum or a Dad Is a life investment. If you want some love Then you've got to care. Listen to your kids And youll grow together On your journey through life Look through childrens eyes.
