Bret Jensen walked into a public library in New York. He wandered around the library for a while before settling in the real life crime section. Ten minutes or so passed with him flicking through various books in that section before a member of staff went over to him.
Is anything I can help you with, sir? A lady in her late forties asked.
Im looking for books on bank robberies, preferably modern ones Bret said. Just doing some research.
Actually I think I saw a few real life crime books in the recently returned section, Ill go and check for you.
Thank you as the lady dutifully went off to look for books Brets eyes started to wander around the library. Something or more precisely someone caught his attention. It couldnt be, could it? Sure it was. But it can be difficult to tell when you see someone in a different context to where youve seen them before. The woman looked so like her. He watched her serving a customer at the main desk. Has he quite by accident found the woman responsible for his brothers imprisonment? The more he looked the more convinced he was that it was indeed her.
Here you are sir: there are two books about bank robberies, both published fairly recently. The other member of staff broke his glare away from Lori and handed him the two books.
What? Oh... yeah... right... excellent... thank you. Actually you can keep them. Ive got a better idea a very sinister smile broke out across Brets face. He left the library making sure Lori wouldnt get a glimpse of his face and left the other staff member quite dumbfounded.
