Henry Carr was sleeping soundly in his comfortable room in the Embassy. He didnt even bother messing up the bed, the couch would be comfortable enough, and surprisingly, he didnt have any dreams to speak of. Ridding the world of one terrorist was a high honor, but an entire cell was enough to bring pure elation to the heart of anyone. His relaxing, non-dream, was soon interrupted by the soft ring of a telephone, it was John Evans calling from down stairs.
Mr. Carr, Jack Hoskins said to wake you at 7:00 P.M., hes involved in a situation down town and asked that we send you there, I have a map and directions for you when youre ready to leave.
Henry was still groggy as he tried to make sense out of what Evans said.
Did he say that it was critical? Does he want me to leave now, or do I have time to shower and change first?
I spoke to him a few minutes ago, I believe he has things under control for now, and you sure dont sound like youre awake yet.
Thats for sure.
You looked exhausted when you came in this morning, I didnt have the heart to wake you for dinner, but I told the chef to put a plate aside for when you did wake up.
Thanks, I appreciate that, if Hoskins calls again, tell him Ill be down there in twenty minutes.
Henry got cleaned up quickly and stopped in Evans office as he was leaving the Embassy.
Im heading over to find Hoskins now, but I need a favor, Henry said as he handed Evans the picture of the woman that he took from Tafar Rasulons office wall and showed him the strange writing on the back of the picture.
It appears to be some old dialect and I need to have it translated ASAP, could you do a scan on this and e-mail it to Agent Don Nelson in Langley?
Sure, Id be glad to take care of that for you, Evans said.
Henry looked him directly in the eye for emphasis and said, Only you, Nelson, and I need to know what that writing says.
I understand perfectly, Evans said.
Call me the minute you get it back.
Henry took the directions to Hoskins location from Evans and hurried out of the Embassy.
