CHAPTER 22
Langley, Virginia

Sunday afternoon

In the CIA Headquarters in Virginia, in-house agent Donald Nelson was in his office tracking the movement of the RV on an electronic wall map when an agent came in to tell him that they found a match on the latest picture that Leslie sent from Azerbaijan.

Nelson opened the file that the agent sent him and the picture and bio of Tariq Amin came up on a computer screen.

“Now this is interesting, if not surprising, Tariq Amin is on the top ten list of wealthy Saudi’s most likely to follow in the footsteps of Osama Bin Laden.”

“He has a degree in business from Oxford and also a minor degree in chemistry,” the agent said

“Business and chemistry, that’s an odd combination for a Saudi, I would expect geology or something petroleum related, but not chemistry,” Nelson said.

“And guess where he did his graduate field studies,” the agent said.

Nelson quickly reviewed the case in his mind and said, “Would I be too far off if I guessed the USSR in the early seventies?”

“You’ve got it,” the agent said.

Moments later in the CIA’s RV, Hoskins opened an email from Nelson.

“Well people, it looks like this may be our lucky day, that man in the white headdress is none other than Tariq Amin, who is known in many circles to be the next Osama Bin Laden.”

“Wow, if we could get him and the cesium, we’ll probably have our pictures on the cover of Time or Newsweek,” Brad said.

“I wouldn’t go quite that far, the reality is that nabbing one of these rich bastards is a plus, but there’s always someone else in line to fill his shoes. All we could hope to do is send a message to his potential successors that we’ll take out as many as they send,” Hoskins said before his cell phone rang.

“Yes, Henry.”

“We’re set up on the piers in Baku, Jack, we have lookouts in all the main cargo load areas. For now, we’ll just sit back and wait for you and your new friends to arrive,” Henry said as he scanned the dock area with his binoculars from the control room that his men set up in a second floor office of a warehouse.

“Our ETA is two hours, and we’re bringing a bonus for you, his name is Tariq Amin, the man most voted most likely to succeed Bin Laden. I just emailed you his picture and bio.”

“That’s fine, if you see him again before I do, tell him that I killed one of his men on my way here today, and I look forward to making his acquaintance.”

“This guy even financed his own private militia, so we’ll give you directions to their camp when we’re finished in Baku.”

“I’ll take you up on that,” Henry said delighted that he could do some more checking on Tafar Rasulon, “Let’s get the cesium first, then you could show me where to find them.”

“What I thought we would do when we got to Baku was to lay low and provide you with back up surveillance and missile fire from the predator if necessary,” Hoskins said.

“That’s okay with me,” Henry said, “I think we have enough people on the ground to get the job done. Let us know when the bad guys get here, and you could set on any one of these hills overlooking the bay.”

“Sounds like a plan, Henry, I’ll give you a call when we get to Baku, keep an eye open for some good restaurants too.”
