A Road Map of Globusz Publishing Services |
People who would like to join the Reading Room group, register their interest, using the special Reading Room registration form.
They download an auto-form questionnaire to register their reading preferences and supply other appropriate information that allows Globusz to assess their suitability for the voluntary role.
The Globusz Reading Room Team evaluates all responses and classify the volunteers according to their experience and appropriate skills.
A Globusz Blog has been created and readers are invited to join the readers discussion circle.
The blog is moderated by Globusz to ensure the circle reflects our values.
Links are added to eBooks directing people to any Reading Room discussion that relates to an individual book.
Authors are able to join the blog if they wish. This allows them to view reader comments and for them to add their own.
The Volunteer Mentor Program is a valuable support service for authors.
Mentors are not paid employees.
They must be able to demonstrate prior experience in a work setting that is complementary to the service Globusz provides.
Mentors are assessed by their experience, skills and ability to establish and maintain an ongoing relationship with a new author.
The primary role of the mentor is to act as a sounding board for the author. To discuss ideas, read drafts, and provide valuable feed-back.
Mentors are matched to participating authors and they are asked to create a new Hotmail account. Author and Mentor conduct two Getting To Know You chat sessions, after which they decide if they will continue their meetings as part of the VMP.
Author/Mentor partners report monthly to the CEO to ensure the arrangement is working well for both parties.
NOTE: Not all authors choose to participate in the Mentor Program. |
|
Every quarter, Globusz promotes Showcase authors to major publishing houses, literary critics working for major print newspapers, registered book clubs, universities and colleges that conduct creative writing classes, and literary agents.
