Our People

Our team is dedicated to world’s best practice service. We have two primary goals: the first is to be the best e-book publishing house on the internet. The second is, to deliver great service to authors and readers.
We can confidently state that we have almost achieved both of these goals. We’re on the right pathway, and success is clearly in sight.
But we also know that as soon as we reach our goals it will be time to make more changes, and start the hard work all over again.
That’s the interesting thing about quality and service. There is no point at which a business can say, ‘Well that’s it; we have made it. There is nothing else to do.’
Why? Because quality and service are a continuous improvement thing. And that’s why Globusz is committed to examining every aspect of its service and to finding better ways to do things. For our business, our staff, but more importantly, for the people who matter most, our authors and our readers.
Anything less than the best is just not good enough.

Bernice Connell
Bernice Connell was born in 1974 in Uitenhage, which is in the Western Cape Province of South Africa. Her parents lived in a variety of South African locations during her early life which allowed Bernice to become very familiar with the country and its people. She spent a year in Australia as an exchange student and fell in love with the great southern land. After completing her secondary education, Bernie settled in Pretoria, where she worked for several years before moving to Johannesburg. In December 2006 Bernice immigrated to Sydney where she married her life long friend, Paul. Later the couple and their two daughters, affectionately known as The Goblins, moved to the Pilbara region of Western Australia. They now live in a town called Karratha, which Bernie describes as ‘a place that competes with hell for the highest temperature.’ The climate of the Pilbara is semi-arid and arid, with high temperatures and low rainfall. During the summer months, maximum temperatures exceed 32°C (90°F) almost every day, and temperatures in excess of 45°C (113°F) are not uncommon.       Bernie is a writer and recently graduated from the Globusz College with a High Distinction in Creative Writing. Her lecturer said Bernie’s adventurous spirit and quirky sense of humour made her stories lively and entertaining; she added Bernie’s attention to detail and self-discipline made her an outstanding student. Bernie was recently appointed to the position of Quality Control Officer. She will assist the team to evaluate the eBooks in the library, and new submissions as they are received. The Quality Control Team is fast-tracking the star-rating project; soon all the books in the Globusz library will be assigned a rating, ranging from one to five stars.
