Theory of the Leisure Class by Thorstein Veblen

Academy-Industry Relations in East Europe by Katalin Balazs
The International Study Group on 'Academy - Industry relations' has been operating since its official launch in January 1992 following its inception at a NATO Advanced Research Workshop in September 1991. It developed from a common interest driven by the new phenomena of high technologies, the emergent 'entrepreneurial universities' and the new role of small firms in the innovation system. The ISG is a consortium involving researchers, policy makers and practitioners interested in the changing innovation context in the 1990s and in the new role of academy - industry relations.
