Born in the United States in Dayton, Ohio in 1957, Melanie has overcome many obstacles and gone on to become a Poet Laureate and a diversified writer.
Her story Where Roses Fall won the Ray Bradbury Short Story Contest and this fueled her writing on to create a mini series that she is currently working on. Melanie has been a five year award winner songwriter with the (ASCAP) American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers and is currently working with two New Publishers.
She donates to several Charities - ModestNeeds.org and the Disabled Veterans of America. Melanie writes short stories, stage plays and newspaper articles as well as online writings and children’s story books. Her works travel the world over as she sits and continues to work from her home in New Miami, Hamilton, Ohio.
