Mark Beal

In the early 1980s, shortly after Mark Beal completed his graduation, OPEC broke up and Longview Texas fell on economic hard times. Mark was a welder, fabricating oil field parts. When layoffs began to happen, Mark found himself roaming around from town to town looking for jobs. He discovered that he had an interest in carpentry. While living in Memphis a colleague of his asked him to go to Florida with him and Mark has been living there ever since. Today he has a small shop called Psycho Stairs in Boynton Beach where he remodels stairs and banisters. Mark enjoys hanging out with friends, playing the guitar, swimming, fishing, inventing, and writing. His goal in life is to share a little love with those around him and light up the darkness whenever he can.

Mark says, ‘Poetic thoughts find me and I write them down. I spend a lot of time in the spirit thinking about why things are the way they are. I ask and most of the time I receive. If not right away, surely in time.’
