Heidi Jacobsen
Heidi Jacobsen was raised in Toronto, Canada, but left her homeland to attend college in Florida, and New York. She studied at Parsons School of Design in New York, where she obtained an Environmental Design degree.
Heidi has been writing for as long as she can remember. She started with short stories and poems, and then added an impressive repertoire of song lyrics to her writing achievements. Seven years ago she branched into screenplays, and has already completed eight works in the genre.
Six of Heidi's novels are available as eBooks, with more to come soon. Her style is entertaining and easy to read. She moves from the descriptive to the simple with a skilful ease. Heidi's work is unpretentious, and engaging. She understands the importance of dialogue, and scripts believable, and effortless, communication for her characters. In, Losing Twenty Pounds, a Dieter's Journal, Jacobsen demonstrates she is a writer who can take a mundane topic, fashion it into an entertaining story, and provide the reader with a great learning opportunity along the way.

Kind Hearted Woman Blues by Heidi Jacobsen
Lust, longing and a sweetness for a song...The blues theme plays out in this short story of Maria, an independant woman. She is a dress designer, a blues singer and is in lust with Billy, a down and out grifter who became her lover.
Maria feeds Billy a leftover dinner of bruschetta and linguine and they stroll to town to look at magaines at the local bookstore. Billy envies Marias talents and admires her creativity. She likes his non-controlling demeanor...
One day Maria finds a note in Billys pocket with a strange adress on it. She goes to a house only to discover he has been leading a double wife and has a wife and daughter... A story of betrayal.

The story of my so called life. Try as I might, I am destined to always be the girl next door. The story begins in Toronto, where I was born to my hardworking immigrant parents, talks about my kindergarten days and childhood memories of Barbies and Donny Osmond...
Then stay tuned for the teenage days, dating, disco dancing and singing, leading up to the blues singer that I am now. All fun reading if you are really, really bored.
