Heidi Jacobsen was raised in Toronto, Canada, but left her homeland to attend college in Florida, and New York. She studied at Parsons School of Design in New York, where she obtained an Environmental Design degree. Heidi has been writing for as long as she can remember. She started with short stories and poems, and then added an impressive repertoire of song lyrics to her writing achievements. Seven years ago she branched into screenplays, and has already completed eight works in the genre. Six of Heidi's novels are available as eBooks, with more to come soon. Her style is entertaining and easy to read. She moves from the descriptive to the simple with a skilful ease. Heidi's work is unpretentious, and engaging. She understands the importance of dialogue, and scripts believable, and effortless, communication for her characters. Losing Twenty Pounds by Heidi Jacobsen To eat or not to eat, that is the question. Every dieter knows the pitfalls of the supermarket and the dangers of snacking. This dieter’s journal if full of the bloopers a dieting woman makes while on her quest to lose twenty pounds. She tries everything from celebrity diets to eating only blueberries to a minimal amount of excercise, but nothing works. In fact. she gains weight. Her fiancee Cliff doesn’t help either by feeding her portions of his pasta and making wise guy remarks about the poundage. A comical look at dieting.

Ain’t Goin’ Nowhere by Heidi Jacobsen The story of my so called life. Try as I might, I am destined to always be the girl next door. The story begins in Toronto, where I was born to my hardworking immigrant parents, talks about my kindergarten days and childhood memories of Barbies and Donny Osmond... “Roses Are Red.” Drama. A young fan is obsessed with a rock star and meets him only to discover that he is a total jerk and he ends up stalking her.

“Mobster Christmas.” Comedy. A mobster from New Jersy befriends a Chinese businessman instead of killing him during the Christmas Holidays.
