Gabriela Purcar was born on the 5th of November 1979 to Gavril and Maria, who live in Marca Village, Sălaj County, Transylvania, Romania, in the beautiful valley of Barcău. She completed her Primary school in her native village. The last two years of High school were completed at the Lower Cosnich Village (Cosniciu de Jos). She always wanted to become a teacher, and she’d studied at the Grammar school for primary school teachers in Gheorghe Şincai in Zalău City.

At the age of 20 she went for further studies in psychology to the University Babeş-Bólyai, at Cluj-Napoca City and in 2005 she got her license. Since she had worked as a primary school teacher at Camăr, Sălaj County she became attached to the children and was named School Advisor at the group of schools called Ioachim Pop, at Ileanda.

In 2006 Gabriela went to live in Zalău City and got a job as a teacher at ‘Prince Gelu’ (Voievodul Gelu) High School, Zalău City, Ion Creanga Kindergarten, Zalău City, Ion Agârbiceanu High School, at Jibou.

Gabriela has two elder sisters and three nephews and nieces.
