Twelve year old Benjamin O'Brien lives in Perth, WA. Benjamin enjoys reading and writing in English as well as arguing persuasively and dreams of becoming a writer or a lawyer. He started writing at the age of six, initially by hand and now on the computer.

The Mutants is a fantasy story written by a young author Benjamin O’Brien who writes with great clarity for someone his age. In this story, Daniel is a normal boy going to one of the most expensive schools in the country when life suddenly changes for him. His missing mother had him injected with a fluid, when he was a baby, to make him develop uncanny senses, rapid healing powers and the ability to turn into a Beast. There are others who want his mystical powers and will work for ‘The Agency’ to get them. Will Daniel survive or will he end up in the Agency’s Test Lab?
