Anson Chi, born and raised in New York City, is an author, politician, model, activistenvironmental, social, politicaland retired engineer. He currently lives in a myriad of places, including Los Angeles and San Diego, and has spent a copious number of years sojourning in Asia, particularly in China, Taiwan, Vietnam, and Japan. After many anguish-filled years growing up in a typical austere Asian household and suffering extra anguish in the enslaving corporate world, Anson decided to write a book in order to "tell it like it is." Many readers around the world have praised and acclaimed his first novel, Yellow on the Outside, Shame on the Inside: Asian Culture Revealed, which reveals the truths about Asian culture, truths that shock the senses and open a hidden world of long-guarded secrets. Anson is working on his second novel, currently untitled, in order to extend his forte and "tell it like it is."

The setting takes place in the City of Irvine in California, the perfect breeding ground for the ostentatious lifestyle that many Asians seek. Johnson struggles with his identity as he lives his life trying the best that he can to compete with his younger sister Jordan. Throughout his journey, he exhorts many of the truths about Asian cultureChinese, Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese, etc.and leaves the reader wondering: will he succeed or succomb to the pressures of his Asian culture?
