Thomas Alva EdisonThomas Alva Edison was an American inventor and businessman who developed many devices that greatly influenced life around the world, including the phonograph and the long-lasting, practical electric light bulb. Edison originated the concept and implementation of electric-power generation and distribution to homes, businesses, and factories - a crucial development in the modern industrialized world. He founded 14 companies, including General Electric, which is still in existence, and one of the largest publicly traded companies in the world. Edison holds 1,093 U.S. patents in his name.

EDISON - His Life and Inventions by Frank Lewis Dyer This is indeed the real Edison book. No single figure of our time has influenced more intimately our daily lives. The full and authoritative story of Edison’s own life has never been written until now. This is the story of Edison – his birth in Ohio, his boyhood in Michigan, and his work as a telegraph operator, winning his way upward with the invention of the phonograph and the incandescent lamp. We see days and nights spent developing storage batteries, the phonograph industry, application of Portland cement, moving pictures, etc. Not as an abstract genius, but as a man, Edison is made known and his personal human side is set before us in this book.

The Matter of Arab in Chaucer by Abdul-Settar Abdul-Latif Al-Assady The Matter of Arab in Chaucer is about all materials (vocabulary- nouns, verbs...etc, plots, characters, settings, motifs, themes, narrative links and structure and frame-stories) that were directly or indirectly ‘borrowed’ by Chaucer from Arab culture. Through statistically surveying Chaucer’s Complete Works (55 in number), the research finds out that Arabic lexicons (or loans) in Chaucer are more than nine hundred. Hence, Chaucer took a lot of things from Arabian sources in renditions that were within his reach as he developed in art and experience.

Poems Roy Taylor was born in Old Colwyn, North Wales. Not being a great orator, he found that putting his thoughts on to paper gave him some satisfaction. His poetry is motivated usually by life’s endeavours, and personal likes and dislikes as with ‘Clause B 11 exceptions’ – all the small print in the insurance policies. Or of course, as with ‘Garlic pearl’, a pure hatred of garlic had lead to the writing of this poem. Sometimes he is downright silly as with, “Butcher’s Mis-steak”.
He wrote this poem just to amuse himself. Hopefully, his poems will amuse others as well.

Book Cover Valuing a company is hardly a precise science and can vary depending on the type of business and the reason for coming up with a valuation. There are a wide range of factors that go into the process from the book value to a host of tangible and intangible elements. In general, the value of the business will rely on an analysis of the company's cash flow. In other words, its ability to generate consistent profits will ultimately determine its worth in the marketplace.
